Tales from Bramblebrook Forest was born out of both lived experience and a deep understanding of the challenges many young readers face today. During my years working as a Spanish teacher, I witnessed firsthand the growing struggle with literacy—particularly in the years following the COVID-19 pandemic. Many children found reading frustrating, intimidating, or simply inaccessible; not because they lacked curiosity, but because they hadn’t yet developed the confidence or foundations needed to enjoy stories at their own level.
This series was created in response to that need. While the books are written with younger readers in mind, the series places a strong emphasis on reading level and accessibility, allowing children to engage with stories in a way that feels comfortable, supportive, and confidence-building.
Set within the familiar world of Bramblebrook Forest, each story is designed to stand alone, making them perfect for shared reading or quiet moments at bedtime. While the setting remains consistent, every tale offers a new, gentle narrative that explores relatable experiences and emotions.
